I worked for Doc Holliday Molds for about 10 years as a sculptor and now introducing my own mold line.     This mold made of plaster and designed to produce ceramic tile. This item can be used by itself or in combination with 6"x3" border tile. Considering how expansive custom tiles are, it may be a considerable money saver (if you want to redecorate your house) or a tool for a lucrative business. This mold designed to be poured through two small pour-holes but it sufficient enough that it can be pressed by hand or even under manual press. I do combine shipping!   This item comes as a kit with two IMD600 RESERVOIR molds. They will make casting allot easier. Largest problem with pouring solid tiles was small pour-holes. Ceramist had to keep adding slip every minute or so to avoid trapping air. I manage to solve this problem with RESERVOIR molds IMD-600. They allow you to keep an access of slip over pour-holes, so you don't have to add more slip every minute. If you tried to pour tile or plate mold with closed bottom (it does make a very nice back side) then you are familiar with that problem. You have to keep mold full all the time to prevent it from trapping air inside. And what a task it is. With a RESERVOIR mold you simply place it over pour-halls and you wouldn't have to worry about adding your slip again. Simply place them over pour-holes and 15 min. later just slide them off.     Finished sample is not part of this auction.
