Description
EuroArt-Trading Welcome to Euro Art Trading which promotes beautiful and original hand-made works of art coming directly from Europe. We explore the most fascinating regions of Europe to offer you unique products of the old time manufactures. One of those wonderful, quaint regions is Warmia and Mazury located in the north-eastern Poland, formerly known as East Prussia. Here, among undulating fields and crystal-clear lakes, its inhabitants have built their summer residences surrounded by the stunning gardens and parks giving them peace and quiet and a sense of security. And here, in the 18th century, a marvelous Palace in Nakomiady arose for whose needs a ceramics manufacture making bricks from local clay has been established soon. Our collection is composed with nine miniature stoves serving as chandeliers. We also offer candlesticks and decorative ceramic tails. New to our collection will be the big stoves, the reconstructions of the old time palace originals, which we plan to introduce to you in a close future. Each product is hand painted, kept in coloristic specific for its times. Each of them has its own name and is a true copy of a big historical original. The production process using traditional techniques is very time-consuming and takes a month to finish one miniature. Our products perfectly compose with the warm house interiors and can serve as peculiar and unforgettable gifts. We are the only distributor of this product in USA Visit us at www.euroarttrading.com THE ITEM OF THIS AUCTION IS: Stove from the Manor in Skandlawki - Salon, XIX century. History In 1884, two brothers from the Siegfried family built their late Classicist manor in Skandławki ( in German:Skanlack) with two symmetric side risalites. Surrounding the manor is beautifully landscaped park with a small pond. They were at last able to fulfill their dreams of possessing their own estate with an airy and spacious manor home. The fields surrounding the manor, 160 hectares of forest and brick plant, provided excellent prospects of the future. However, this idyllic family situation was interrupted by the unfaithfulness of Anna Maria, Joachim’s wife, with a frequently visiting salesman. The husband discovers her treachery by accident, finding letters from the lover to Anna Maria, in which he recall their trysts. The letters were hidden in vase, placed at the top of the tiled stove in the salon. In a fit of rage, he throws his wife out, brandishing a weapon. It is only after quiet some time that he finds peace in the arms of the maid Giselle, whom he ultimately marries, after obtaining a divorce with his previously expelled wife.
