Description
EuroArt-Trading Welcome to Euro Art Trading which promotes beautiful and original hand-made works of art coming directly from Europe. We explore the most fascinating regions of Europe to offer you unique products of the old time manufactures. One of those wonderful, quaint regions is Warmia and Mazury located in the north-eastern Poland, formerly known as East Prussia. Here, among undulating fields and crystal-clear lakes, its inhabitants have built their summer residences surrounded by the stunning gardens and parks giving them peace and quiet and a sense of security. And here, in the 18th century, a marvelous Palace in Nakomiady arose for whose needs a ceramics manufacture making bricks from local clay has been established soon. Our collection is composed with nine miniature stoves serving as chandeliers. We also offer candlesticks and decorative ceramic tails. New to our collection will be the big stoves, the reconstructions of the old time palace originals, which we plan to introduce to you in a close future. Each product is hand painted, kept in coloristic specific for its times. Each of them has its own name and is a true copy of a big historical original. The production process using traditional techniques is very time-consuming and takes a month to finish one miniature. Our products perfectly compose with the warm house interiors and can serve as peculiar and unforgettable gifts. We are the only distributor of this product in USA Visit us at www.euroarttrading.com THE ITEM OF THIS AUCTION IS: Cylindrical Stove - Grazymy Palace, end of XVIII century. History Palace, together with its surrounding park, is situated on attractive high ground, commanding a view of the surrounding area of deciduous forests. The defensive attributes of this location were already appreciated by the Teutonic Knights, who built the first defensive fortifications here. Documented written sources from 1352 refer to the estates of knights being established in the Grazymy area. The von Borcke family initially owned this estate. The arched stonework basements are retained from earlier structures. A new owner, Albrecht von Stein, erected the present palace in 1921. As an expression of his passion for architecture, Sir Albrecht designed the family residence himself, which became famous for its luxurious accoutrements, especially its 12 toilets and 8 baths. The Grazymy Palace Stove is a copy made near the beginning of the XX century by Walther Wendel from Malbork, decorated with cobalt blue, imitating the style of XVII century Dutch ceramic work.
